Please donate for plate programming and promotion costs!

The Idaho legislation creating the nation's first mountain biking themed license plate assures that the funds form the sales of the plate go directly to the preservation, maintenance and expansion of recreational trails as long as mountain bikes are allowed access.

Simply put: plate sales = trail funds

To keep the trail fund going at least 1,000 plates have to be sold within 3 years after the plate first goes on sale, and at least a 1,000 plates must stay in circulation for the two consecutive years following the first three. Neither the State of Idaho, the Idaho Transportation Department, nor any other state entity actively promotes the sales. This responsibility belongs to us, Idaho Mountain Bike Trail Preservation Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, TIN 27-1592425.

Since the funds go directly to your trails, as they should, we need you to help us promote the plate and drive the sales. If you want to protect, preserve, improve and create new recreational trails in Idaho, please donate to our cause! This is yet another way to show your love of the great recreational trails Idaho offers and our cause. Anything helps—although more helps more!

Remember, what’s on YOUR plate matters! Let’s put a mountain bike plate on every car.

Contributions to 501(c)(3) organizations are typically deductible on your Federal tax return. Talk to your tax expert for details.
